Over the last sixteen years, Sheri has worn the hats of Writer, Instructional Designer, Trainer, and Knowledge Management Coordinator (to name just a few!). No matter the tools she pulls from her kit, she is driven to use them for one thing—helping people navigate change.

About

This happens by:

  • Analyzing the learning problem to find the most efficient, impactful learning experience.

  • Looking for the story. A narrative is one of the fastest paths to learning.

  • Translating technical mumbo-jumbo into something a learner can understand.

  • Promoting independent learning through effective technical writing, building an electronic performance support site, or providing post-training support.

  • Communicating change with equal parts enthusiasm and empathy.

People are emotional creatures. They are meaning-making machines. Whether we are working on a social marketing effort or an ERP implementation, designers need to start with the ‘why’.
